Woollaston Estates Mahana Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Full, rounded mouthfeel with a touch of sweetness upfront, A rounded, creamy texture mid palate with a chalky backbone. Finishes with lovely cooked lime and long, juicy acidity.
Made using natural fermentation on skins before being matured in old oak and acacia barrels this doesn’t pretend to be a clone of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, rather winemaker Shane Munn has used his skills in the winery to make a style that expresses the best of the fruit from the vineyards.
