Tohu Whenua Matua Vineyard Chardonnay 2017
Full and rich palate weight, immediate impression is creamy malo characters dominate the initial flavours. White peach freshness, spiced oak and a touch of juicy citrus evolve through the palate into a long, satisfyingly dry finish. A delightful wine that is drink well now but has all the characteristics needed for it to reward cellaring for 5-10 years.
This is a Single Vineyard wine made from fruit grown on the Matau block in the Whenu Matua Vineyard in stony clay soils of the rolling Upper Moutere hills.
