Te Whare Ra Gewurztraminer 2004
The palate isn't as intense as the aromas suggest they will be but are still rich and delicious. Rose water, orange blossom, sherbet-like powdery minerality and warming exotic spice in the long juicy finish.
This wine is holding up remarkably well, retaining exceptional freshness for an 11 year old Gewurztraminer. As it has aged under screw cap it hasn't gone flabby and too intense, rather the bright acidity balance is still shining. An exceptional wine.
