Spencer Hill Sauvignon Blanc 'Sur Lie' 2014
Ripe tropical fruits, primarily pineapple. Dry minerality in the finish with juicy firm acidity. The wine has a small amount of residual sugar (less than 2 g/L) to add some weight to the structure and mouth feel. This is a most attractive and very approachable style of sauvignon blanc with winemaking that adds a twist to the classic styel.
Winemaking: the wine was tank fermented with oak staves, the tank fermentation has retained the vibrant fruit characters while using oak staves adds textural characters without overt oak flavours.
