Seifried Estate Nelson Zweigelt 2014

Zweigelt is an Austrian rewd grape variety that ripens very well in cooler climates. Seifried Estate have six rows planted in their Brightwater vineyard. The result of the 2014 vintage is a wine that is easy to drink with appraochable black berry fruit characters upfront. The complexity kicks in mid-palate with some soft vanilla characters. Fermented and aged in French oak the finish has some nice soft oak spice before dry tannins wrap around the sweet fruit characters making it a lovely approachable wine with character and drinkability.
