Sacred Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2014

The aromas are reflected in the flavours and rounded out with crisp lemon citrus acidity. this wine needs food to help the best characters shine. I would recommend pan fried seafood or maybe fish and chips on the beach.

Aroma
Aromatics burst from the glass as soon as you pour it. Ripe tropical fruit aromas are typical of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the challenging 2014 vintage. Even though the vast majority of fruit for this wine was harvested before the rains set in the very warm summer before the rains has ripened the fruit quickly. Warm nights meant Sauvignon Blanc in the region generally didn't develop the vibrancy, rather we are seeing ;lots of wines showing ripe tropical fruit characters.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, in fact I quite like some of these characters, many wines are simply not as zesty as we have come to expect from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Back to this wine - the aromas a re bright and pungent, bursting with passionfruit, ripe fig and subtle gooseberry characters.
