Sacred Hill Hawke’s Bay Merlot Cabernet 2013

Silky smooth with a quite fleshy palate. Flavours of plum from the dominant Merlot are balanced nicely with some spice from the Cabernet and oak. The tannins are so fine they are hard to find, but they are there and add a nice dryness to the finish. This is an excellent value for money wine. The producers say you can cellar it for 2-5 years but I think it is drinking nicely right now.
