Devil’s Staircase Pinot Noir 2012

This may be the entry level label from Rockburn Wines in Central Otago but the quality is anything but entry level. Dark plum in colour with sweet black berry fruit and ripe plum aromas are reflected in the lush palate weight. The judicious use of oak adds structure and an elegant smoky character. This is a fantastic wine, delivers quality well above its price point and is simply delicious.
