Seresin Estate Pinot Gris 2008
Lush palate weight packed with flavours of cooked, spiced pears, brioche and yellow peach. A lovely creamy texture enhances the delicious ripe fruit characters.
The wine is a good example of a well made Pinot Gris aging nicely, developing richness and complexity. While the high alcohol has a small amount of heat in the finish it isn't unpleasant. Overall this wine, sealed with a screwcap, has held up beautifully, especially when you consider the 2008 vintage in Marlborough was challenging.
Made using Biodynamic principles with hand picked grapes thta were whole bunch pressed and fermented using wild yeast. The wine had six months in aged French oak with regular battonage.
