Sovrano Cream Limoncello

I had the pleasure of encountering the delightful team at the Nelson Italian Festival, where they introduced me to Sovrano Cream Limoncello, describing it as an “alcoholic lemon meringue pie.” As a longtime fan of lemon meringue pie, I was immediately intrigued, and I’m pleased to say that the product lived up to the description.

Upon first experience, I was greeted by a rich, creamy nose with a distinct and refreshing burst of lemon. The texture is luxurious—smooth, velvety, and wonderfully viscous. The flavor profile is nothing short of exceptional. The initial liqueur-like creaminess gives way to a delightful lemony sweetness that lingers on the palate, making it incredibly tempting to reach for another sip.

For the best experience, I highly recommend serving it straight from the freezer—there’s no need for ice. Sovrano offers a range of handcrafted liqueurs, including Original Limoncello, Orangello, Cream Orangello, Chococello, and more. To explore their full range, visit limoncello.co.nz.
